Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is a moisturizer that works while you sleep so you wake up with softer, brighter skin! Formulated with calamine and centella asiatica, it also soothes irritated skin and helps reduce blemishes from previous breakouts.

If you’ve been following my blog for a while (thanks!), you’d know that not only am I big fan of k-beauty and Asian skincare products; I’ve also become such a big fan of Rovectin.
Their story is inspiring, their philosophy is based on science, and every product I’ve tried so far has transformed my skin for the better.
I start my day by cleansing my face with Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser. I use Skin Essentials Activating Treatment Lotion day and night.
Their LHA Blemish Ampoule has replaced most of the serums in my routine. And their Aqua Soothing UV Protector has a permanent place in my sunscreen rotation.
So I have a cleanser, an essence, a serum and a sunscreen. I’ve been waiting for a moisturizer to round things off so I was so excited to receive this newly launched sleeping pack in the mail!
And it’s the first product from Rovectin’s Cica Care line that I get to try. Let’s get to it.
What is Rovectin Cica Care line?
If Rovectin’s Skin Essentials Aqua Enriched line is all about hydration and soothing dry and damaged skin with 7 different types of hyaluronic acid, their Cica Care Line was made with sensitive skin in mind.
Formulated with calamine and madecassoside, Cica Care products soothe and calm irritated skin and help battle acne, hormonal breakouts and dark spots.
Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack ingredients
Specifically, their sleeping pack contains:
- Calamine. Rovectin calls calamine the “magical pink powder”. It eases irritation caused by bumps, breakouts, and hormones.
- Madecassoside from Centella Asiatica. A plant-based antioxidant that revitalizes sensitive skin while reducing the appearance of scars and dark spots.
- Protease. An enzyme that helps with exfoliation; removes dead skin cells overnight for a brighter, smoother skin the next day.
- Glycerin. An ingredient that traps moisture by attracting it from the air and locking it into skin.
Full ingredient list below (source):
Water, glycerin, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol, trehalose, betaine, cetyl ethylhexanoate, dicaprylyl carbonate, centella asiatica extract, protease, panthenol, moringa pterygosperma seed extract, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, propanediol, glyceryl polyacrylate, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, allantoin, xanthan gum, saussurea involucrata extract, rubus chamaemorus fruit extract, selaginella lepidophylla extract, tropolone, sodium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate, sodium polyacrylate, hydrogenated polydecene, caprylic/capric triglyceride, trideceth-10, caprylhydroxamic acid, 1,2-hexanediol, boswellia serrata resin extract, brassica oleracea italica (broccoli) extract, lithospermum erythrorhizon root oil, bioflavonoids, geranium maculatum oil
Other things to know
- Packaging. This product comes in an 80ml tube. Doesn’t take a lot of drawer space and perfect for traveling.
- Fragrance. Unlike other Rovectin products, this product is not fragrance-free. It smells very fruity. Reminds me of lychee, almost. It’s a pleasant smell but it sticks around for a bit and dissipates as the product is absorbed.
- Colour. If you google Cica Care Sleeping Pack, you would see photos of the cream that has a pinkish hue. I’m actually surprised by that because the product is not pink at all. It comes out cloudy white from the packaging and applies clear.
- Texture and Consistency. This moisturizer is thicker than most but very spreadable. It feels sticky after application and takes a while to absorb.
- Clean and Green. Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack is hypoallergenic, toxin-free, cruelty-free and 100% free from parabens, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, mineral oils, and steroids.
- Skin Type. It’s recommend for dry skin, sensitive skin, normal and combination skin types. It would also benefit acne-prone skin as well as people who suffer from hormonal breakouts, redness and dark spots.
How I use this sleeping pack – Cica Care instructions
I use this sleeping pack as the last step of my skincare routine at night.
The name might be misleading; personally, I associate “pack” with “masks” that I need to remove or rinse off but this is more like a moisturizer so after applying it on my skin, I leave it on overnight.
I dab small amounts of product all over my face, starting with problem areas, then spreading evenly.
What I like about Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack
- Gentle and Hydrating. I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and I haven’t had any negative reaction to this moisturizer. It’s gentle enough for me to use every night and very hydrating. It’s getting colder here now (winter is definitely coming) but my skin feels hydrated and plump the next day.
- Soft Smooth Skin. My skin also feels soft and smooth the morning after. And dare I say my pores look smaller too? This product definitely has a smoothing effect.
- Blemishes Begone! I have acne scars and dark spots on my cheeks that I’ve been treating for what seems like forever. There’s some progress, albeit slow, but I did notice that they started getting lighter and smoother after I started using this product. I really should have taken a before and after photo but I didn’t because I wasn’t expecting a moisturizer to have that effect on my skin! But yeah, my problem areas are definitely less problematic now and this product is a great addition to my anti-blemish arsenal.
- Multi-tasking. Like all Rovectin products, I love that this sleeping pack multi-tasks. It doesn’t just moisturize and hydrate. It also gently exfoliates and helps with blemishes. With Barrier Repair Complex, it also restores and reinforces damaged skin barrier. All while you sleep!
What I don’t like about it
- Sticky. Unfortunately, it is very sticky and takes a while to fully absorb. I would only ever use this at night because I don’t want that sticky, heavy feeling during the day. Not sure if it would be pleasant to use this in the warm months either.
- Active Pimples. I had a minor breakout and used this moisturizer — nothing else — to treat it. Happy to report that the little red bumps were gone the next day. However, I’ve been dealing with this massive zit for about a week and this sleeping pack is not really helping calm that down or make it smaller. So I think this product is most effective when you catch the breakout early; not so much when it’s full blown. They do have a Cica Care Balm that’s more of a spot treatment that might work better (haven’t tried it though).
- Fruity Smell. I prefer fragrance-free products so yes, that very fruity smell bugs me. They say this product is free of artificial fragrance so I wonder where that smell is coming from?
Do I recommend Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack?
In a rating scale of 1 to 5 — 5 being awesome — this product is a 4 for me.
This is a really good moisturizer for sensitive skin folks like me, especially ones dealing with acne and blemishes. It didn’t break me out, it’s very hydrating, and my skin just feels wonderful the next day.
It does feel sticky so I won’t ever use this in the morning or in the summer months. And the smell is overpowering sometimes.
But I think these are little things compared to what this sleeping pack can do. And it can do a lot.

As always, remember that every person’s skin and skin type is different so what might work for me might not work for you, and vice versa.
So before trying a new product, it pays to do a little bit of research first. Pay special attention to ingredients that you might have a reaction to.
And doing a patch-test is always a good idea. Unsure? Best to consult your dermatologist.
And practice good skincare habits always.
Happy skin experimenting!

Wow! Rovectin Cica Care Sleeping Pack sounds like a great product! I would love to give this a try 😍
Thanks for the detailed review. Usually most night cream tends to be sticky because of the concentrate ingredient. This product looks great.
A daily skin care option is so important. I do it in the morning and evening. My skin is very sensitive to I’m careful what I use. You gave some really great tips about this product. I will check it out.
I had not heard of this brand before. Thank you for such an in depth review!
I’ve never heard of this brand to be honest! This is amazing, I would love to try it, seems an amazing product.
I’ve only ever used calamine on bug bites! I never knew it could be used for beauty products, too. I think I would have a hard time with the sticky feeling as well. Anything I put on my face needs to feel light. But, I also live in the south where it’s hot and humid almost year-round.
