Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser Review

It wasn’t until I started taking skincare seriously that I realized there were different kinds of cleansers out there.

There are gel cleansers and cream cleansers; oil cleansers and water-based cleansers; powder washes, cleaning wipes, cleansing balms and even no-rinse cleansing products!

As its name suggests, Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser is a foam cleanser. It simply means it’s already foamy and sudsy coming out of the bottle.

It’s from a Japanese skincare company called Hada Labo that’s known for its straightforward, no-fuss approach to skincare. They prioritize the science over the aesthetic, like packaging and fragrance. This makes them affordable too.

If you google Hada Labo Foaming Cleanser, you might come across products called:

  • Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Face Wash
  • Hada Labo Gokujyun Hydrating Foam Cleanser
  • Hada Labo Japan Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Bubble Foaming Cleanser
  • Rohto Mentholatum – Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Face Foam

Don’t worry, they all mean the same thing and this review covers them all!

CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Review

When I started my basic skincare routine, the first thing I did was replace my facial wash. I’ve been using the same product for years and while it didn’t break me out, it didn’t do anything special either.

And sometimes my skin would feel dry and tight after using it. And I’ve always wondered if it actually works at cleansing my skin.

This low pH cleanser from CosRx was the first thing I tried. It promised:

  • A gentle but effective formula
  • A slightly acidic pH level that helps restore our skin’s ideal pH level
  • And refreshing, glowing, supple skin

Does it deliver?

How To Determine Your Skin Type

How to determine your skin type is a simple but important step in building your skincare routine. It tells you not only the skin conditions you need to address but also the skin care products that are right for you.

How To Determine Your Skin Type

We all know the different skin types:

  • Normal skin means you’re blessed with well-balanced, healthy skin. You have small pores and you don’t normally deal with a lot of major skin issues.
  • You have dry skin when your face often feels tight and parched. You’re more susceptible to flakiness and fine lines.
  • Oily skin means you’re less susceptible to wrinkles but tend be more acne-prone.
  • Combination skin is when you have dry or normal cheeks but an oily t-zone (forehead, nose and chin).
Different Skin Types

Most people already have an idea of what their skin type is.

But for those who are not sure, or for those who want to be 100% certain, how to tell your skin type is very simple using these two skin type tests.

Starting a Skincare Routine – What you need to know to get started

Starting a skincare routine and deciding on what products to use can be intimidating. Let’s break it down so you can start your skin care regimen today.

Starting a Skincare Routine - What You Need to Know to Get Started

Are you familiar with the 10-step Korean skincare routine? It’s essentially a facial skin care routine that has ten (yes, ten) steps.

I’m a fan of it, actually (and Korean skincare products in general – more on this in future posts). The skin care routine I have now doesn’t quite make it to 10 steps but there are a lot of steps.

The crazy thing about it though? It works for me and my skin. And I think that’s what good skin care is about.

It doesn’t matter if you use 3 products or 12, or how many skin care steps you have, as long as it makes your skin feel and look great, you’re golden.

And the first step in creating a routine that works for you? Knowing your skin and what it needs.
